Life is good outdoors!

I love watching the birds, and sometimes I have an unexpected guest.

 Visiting other Gardens.

It is always nice to get inspiration elsewhere.  I love visiting other gardens, parks and botanical gardens.  Here in Nashville, the Gaylord Hotel features an atrium filled with exotic plants, orchids, waterfalls and even a river.  It is worth a day out.  Over the holidays it becomes even more magical with decor and activities to fill the spirit.  St. Louis has a wonderful botanical garden. Plenty of room to roam and enjoy all it has to offer.

Worth the Trip.

Here are some of the gardens I have visited . . .

  • Royal Botanical Garden in Edinburgh, Scotland ~ The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh is one of the finest botanic gardens in the world. A pleasure for all the family, the Garden offers fantastic views of the capital's skyline, featuring Edinburgh Castle, and is located just a mile from the city center. Visitors can discover its fascinating history, which dates back 300 years, learn about its plantings and walk around 70 acres of beautiful landscape.
  • St. Louis Botanical Garden ~ Beautiful indoor & outdoor displays over 79 acres. Visit a historic garden! Delicious Restaurants · Authentic Attractions
  • NJ Botanical Garden ~ SkyLands  This garden boasts a constantly-changing display of color and bloom sure to cheer your heart. The Botanical Garden is open every day from 8 am to 8 pm Garden admission is always free.

no need to travel

There are parks galore right nearby. Where ever you live, take time visit a local park.  Take a walk, to look, listen, and catch a scent of wonderful nature in all her glory!
